Setup help, troubleshooting, and how to reach us.
Getting started
Open TV Remote, tap Add Device, and make sure your iPhone and your TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. The app will list nearby TVs it finds automatically. Tap a TV to pair — some platforms (like Android TV) will show a pairing code on the TV screen that you'll enter in the app.
Troubleshooting
- My TV doesn't show up in the list. Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not one on Wi-Fi and one on a guest network or mobile data), and that the TV is powered on. Some routers block device discovery between devices — try disabling AP/client isolation or "guest network" mode in your router settings.
- Pairing fails or times out. Restart the pairing process, and make sure you enter the code shown on the TV within the time limit. Restarting the TV's remote-control/network settings can also help on some Android TVs.
- Commands are slow or don't register. This is usually a Wi-Fi signal issue between your phone, router, and TV. Moving closer to your router, or switching your TV to a 5GHz network if available, often helps.
- Voice search/typing doesn't work. Check that Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed for TV Remote in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- A previously paired TV stopped working. TVs occasionally reset their pairing after a firmware update or factory reset. Remove the device in the app and pair again.

- Manage or cancel Pro Yearly: open the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions, or use "Manage Subscription" inside TV Remote's Settings tab.
- Restore a purchase (new device, reinstalled app): open TV Remote → Settings → Restore Purchases.
